Buen viaje querido amigo...  / Luis Soldevila (University Friend )

For every tear a prayer has been said for you.  / Sharon Purdom (friend of Orlando's girlfriend )
Dear Peter and Izabella, Through Kristen I had the pleasure of knowing what a beautiful person you brought into this world. Her eyes just sparkled as she talked of his kindness and loving ways. I pray that you find comfort and peace as you reclaim your shattered life.
Adam and Alex, I somehow know how you feel- I had a brother die at age 19 then a brother die at age 24. You not only lose your brother, your friend,  you also lose a part of your parents. Everyones life is forever changed. Keep your faith and know God has a plan.
My Dear Kristen, My heart breaks for all of you. I love you so much. I can't help but feel that you have been very blessed to have Orlando in your life as painful as it is for you.  Orlando's presence will be with you and guide you.
Orlando and coincidence  / Peter And Sol Finch (Family friends )
We add our heartfelt condolences to all those that know you and the family. Losing a son or daughter IS a parents worst nightmare, so it is very hard to put into words how much we sympathize with your loss. Peter, if you remember, we were commenting on how there have been many coincidences recently concerning Orlando. I have another to add. When I was telling Sol about how Orlando died and how at risk people are who have epilepsy, she told me something that I had not known since we met. Her youngest sister died of epilepsy aged four. Until now I had never even known she had had a sister younger than her youngest brother.  She knew all about the risks of epilepsy. From this site and from our conversation I know that Orlando's memory, although an irreplaceable loss, is also an inspiration to your family and his friends and a celebration of how fully he spent his all too brief life.

thank you  / Kristin Urbanus (girlfriend)

I am thankful once again...HONORED to spend time with YOUR family, and YOUR friends, HONORED to have known you and to have loved you, and shared so much, HONORED to have buried you-to have seen you off...I feel honored to have your ongoing prescence, your actions, words and all that you have left behind. From one day to the next life takes you in directions that you couldn't even have tried to predict, but without knowing YOU, and having your influence, no one would be the same.

No llores si me amas- (read out by Bella at his memorial service)(English below)  / Bella (family friend )
SI ME AMAS
No llores si me amas ...
¡Tú me has visto, me has amado
en el país de las sombras
y no te resignas a verme y amarme
en el país de las inmutables realidades?
Creéme. Cuando la muerte venga
a romper las ligaduras
como ha roto las que a mí me encadenaban;
sino avanzando conmigo,
Enjuga tu llanto y no llores si me amas.
(San Agustín Numidia - África 354-430)

Do not cry if you love me,
If you knew the gift of God
and what is heaven,
if you could hear the Angels canticles
and see me by them surrounded
If you could see, growing before your eyes
the horizons, fields and new paths I cross.
If for an instant you could contemplate like I,
a beauty before which all others pale
How! You have seen me and have loved me
in the land of the shadows,
and you are not resigned to see me and to love me
in the land of immutable realities?
Believe me, when death comes to break the chains
as it broke those that chained me
When the day comes that God has chosen and knows
And your soul comes to this heaven preceeded by my own
That day will you see me again
You will feel that I still love you, that I loved you
And you will find my heart with all its tenderness, purified
you will find me transfigured in ecstatic happiness
No longer awaiting death, but advancing through it with me
I who will take you by the hand,
on the new paths of light and life.
Cease your grieving and don't cry
If you love me.
